Zanku crooner, Zlatan Ibile has continued his habit of jumping on trends this 2020 and he got a big one.
Moments after popular fuji Icon, Obesere became an internet sensation with one of his hit track, “Egungun Becareful” becoming a massive hit amidst music lovers Zlatan as expected called for collaboration.
Both Zlatan and Obesere hit the studio and they eventually came up with the song.
No doubt, the song is actually a good attempt to recreate core Fuji song with a mix of street-pop vibe but it’s quite disappointing that Zlatan made a hell of noise all through the track.
The whole “gbas gbos” noise without a single line verse from Zlatan almost made the song lose its essence, thank God for Obesere who held it down with some old and new lambas on his own verse.
Instead of doing a proper verse with some strong street lambas, Zlatan chose to shout “won o ni logo, won o da dan mo”.
A Small Doctor or a Naira Marley with Obesere on the song would have created a classical jam that will stand the test of time.
The fast-rising producer employed on the song, P Prime did his best to ensure his part of the job went smoothly by making Obesere sit well on the street-pop inclined beat. Kudos to him
But we will like to re-instate the fact that apart from Obesere’s verse every other part of this song is beautiful nonsense.
Overall, we will rate the song 4/10.
