A Nigerian man based in Malaysia has reportedly been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Aba, Abia State. a few days after returning to the country.

According to reports, the deceased, identified by IGBERE TV as George Smith who has been based in overseas for a long time before returning to Nigeria recently.

Findings shows that late Smith hails from Igbere, suburban town in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

Sources learnt that Smith, who is popularly called Aki Ilu was inside a barbing salon when some gunmen believed to be assassins shot him dead.

Sources just lost a young handsome guy to the street.

Akilu you called me yesterday, though I couldn’t reach you, I was troubled within me from then till now, until I saw the terrible picture of you dead, shot in the head at a close range, while you seated on that barbers chair armless, I said this is it and why I was restless. I wish you lived longer, and for your child, who will she call daddy?
